HOCKEY WC PRESENTED AT THE SPORT COMMITTEE OF THE DEUTSCHE BUNDESTAG
2006-06-30 • On Wednesday afternooon Mrs. Uschi Schmitz General Secretary of the DHB and the President Mr. Stephan Abel presented the BDO Hockey World Cup to the German members of parliament in Berlin.

The presentation took about 20 minutes. During the discussion afterwards the following points were discussed: the co-operation with the FIH (International Hockey Federation), the BDO Hockey World Cup was compared with the current FIFA World Cup, the application for this event, Anti-Doping controls, the effectiveness of the new Hockey stadium WARSTEINER HockeyPark, the structure of the OC, the fringe events, cultural programme and promotion of young hockey players.
"I had the felling that the members were very interested and some of them have already promised to pay a visit to Mönchengaldbach during the BDOWorld Cup", said Mrs. Schmitz.
