REPORT SCHOOL-HOCKEY 2ND DAY

2006-09-10 • The first game of the day was the last quarterfinal between the teams of the Waldgrundschule Berlin and the Werner-Heisenberg-Highschool Bad Dürkheim. In a very close match the Berlin team won 3 : 2 . The first semifinal the Ökumenische Highschool of Bremen won easily against the Max-Plank-School Rüsselsheim 6 : 1. An exciting match was the second semifinal between the Highschool of Othmarschen Hamburg and the primary school of Berlin. Finally the team from Berlin won 3 : 2.

During fantastic weather all team played very ambitious to win their cross-over matches. All games were played intense and competitive however every team kept the idea of fair play in their mind and atmosphere around the pitch was fantastic. Thanks to the parents of the hockey kids of the Gladbacher Hockey Club who were sold salad and other refreshments during the events.

The final was won by the team from Bremen. The game was decided during the second half, despite the fact that Berlin took the lead twice Bremen remained concentrated and managed to find the back of the net five times. A deserved win for the Ökumenische Gymnasium Bremen.
